Listen Here
Take time to have conversations, a rushed conversation will not always be a healthy one.
Give them time to talk about their concerns and tell you their story – remember everyone has their own reasons for wanting to change.
Listen actively to what is being said – an individuals change talk can be hidden within conversation– focus on the want to change.
Use the OARS technique to guide the conversation in a more structured way.
Remember you cannot MAKE people change, but you can help them to make the first steps and having a conversation will sew a seed for the future.
