Why perform CO testing?
Invaluable source of creating dialogue with your client.
Visual and tangible.
Reiterates the harmful effects of smoking.
Motivates the smoker to think about quitting and remaining quit.
Allows them to see their recovery in action (e.g. 20 > 3ppm).
ESSENTIAL to validate a quit attempt; at least 85% of your quitters should have a CO validation.
