Fast Acting Products – Gum
What it is:
- Gum containing nicotine
- 2mg (smokes 30mins plus after waking) & 4mg (smokes within first 30 mins of waking)
- Flavours: fruit, mint, icy white
How it works:
- Use one piece per hour to maintain steady dose of nicotine
- 12 – 15 pieces day; max 15 pieces a day
- Special chewing technique “Chew and Park”
- Use for about 30 minutes
- Sticks to dentures; not appropriate for people with complicated dental work
- Can be combined with patch
Chew & Park
Chew slowly until you can taste strong peppery flavour, then place gum between cheeks and gum. After one minute, repeat process.
Possible side effects
nausea, headaches, heartburn (if incorrectly used), coughing, hiccups, throat irritation.
