Fast Acting Products – Microtabs

What it is: 

  • Nicorette: small white microtab – 2mg nicotine.

How it works:

  • Delivers nicotine to bloodstream through buccal mucosa.
  • Oral absorption of lozenge is better than gum.
  • Can be combined with patch.

How it is used:

  • Used sub-lingually: held until dissolved (30 mins)- should not be chewed or swallowed.
  • Use 1-2 per hour; 16-40 per day.

Roll & Park

Lozenge placed in mouth and allowed to dissolve. They can be rolled and parked against the gum. Not to be chewed and swallowed.

Possible side effects

throat irritation, hiccups, nausea, headache.
